Game Rules
Texas Hold'em is one of the most popular variants of poker, known for its strategic depth and intense gameplay. Here's a brief overview of the rules:
How To Play?
The primary objective in Texas Hold'em is to form the best five-card poker hand using a combination of your own two hole cards and the five community cards available to all players.
Each player is dealt two private cards (known as "hole cards") that belong to them alone.
Throughout the game, five community cards are dealt face-up on the table. These cards are shared by all players and can be used in combination with their hole cards to form the best possible hand.
Set Up
Deck: Texas Hold'em is typically played with a standard 52-card deck.
Blinds: Before each hand begins, two players are required to make mandatory bets known as the small blind and the big blind. The blinds ensure there is always some money in the pot to play for.
Dealing: Each player is dealt two private cards face down, known as hole cards. These cards belong exclusively to the player and are not revealed to other players until the showdown.
Betting Rounds
Texas Hold'em consists of four betting rounds:
Pre-Flop: After the hole cards are dealt, the player to the left of the big blind starts the betting round. Players can choose to call (match the big blind), raise (increase the bet), or fold (discard their hand). Betting continues clockwise around the table until all players have either folded or contributed to the pot.
Flop: Three community cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table. This is known as the flop. Another round of betting occurs, starting with the player to the left of the dealer button.
Turn: After the flop betting round concludes, a fourth community card is dealt face up. This card is called the turn or fourth street. Another round of betting follows.
River: The fifth and final community card is dealt face up. This card is called the river or fifth street. A final round of betting occurs.
Showdown
If more than one player remains after the final betting round, a showdown occurs. Players reveal their hole cards, and the player with the best five-card poker hand wins the pot. In the case of a tie, the pot is split evenly among the winning players.
